Essay 6
The last part of the semester was tough because I had a lot of work to do to make sure everything was to the best of my ability. I took my time on each assignment and reviewed it and had a few tutors look it over for me for some insight. I learned a lot because I had each opinion to take in consideration. I also felt much stronger in getting my point across with my words. I had a lot more time to work on each assignment which was nice. I did not have to rush I got to figure out on my own my problems and work through them. I feel that I still have much more room for growth, but this semester was very effective for my learning because through the revisions and the positive atmosphere I feel that my performance level increased and I am very confident that I will improve even more as I advance to another level of English.

Essay 5
I feel that as the semester went on I was stressed out about getting things done, but I
noticed that once I finished it I was anxious to find out what I did wrong to fix it. As I saw the
improvements in my performance it motivated me to try to do better each time. I also liked
revising my work, because it allowed me to see where I was and then gave me the opportunity to
fix what I needed to. When I did the revisions my spelling, structure, and grammar seemed to
fall into place. I guess practice makes perfect is true. I learned a lot more revising than I did working on it the first time.

Essay 4
During this semester I also had problems with reading. I am a very slow reader and have
to read everything a few times before I understand it. At the beginning I really struggled with
reading. Most of the time I think my written was so weak is because my reading was so bad. I
decided to try to read a book all the way through and really challenge myself to read faster and
better. I read the Lord of the Rings just for fun. I still have trouble reading but it is way better
than before. When I was re-doing some of my assignments I was re-reading the articles, and
found myself reading faster and obtaining much more information than before.

Essay 3
I also had trouble with my grammar. I found that my writing had a lot of errors in it like,
run-on sentences. I was also having trouble with starting and finishing sentences the right way.
In addition I was also having problems with punctuation. As time went on I still had tons of
problems with this issue. Even when I got help I still had problems. I do feel that now that the
semester is ending I really did learn a lot, I look back and see that even though my grammar still
needs a lot of work, it has improved. I am better at catching my run-on sentences, and also use
commas and semi-colons much better than I have in the past.

Essay 2
As the semester went on I saw that the effort I was putting in was really paying off. I felt
pretty good about the way I was formatting my essays, so the next step was for me was to try to
improve my spelling. I started getting help and learning how to sound out my words, and that
helped me to spell most words correctly. I would even do some small private assignments on my
own to help me to remember how to spell. I use spell check a lot and so before it gave me the
correct spelling I would try to fix it as best as I could before I clicked to get the answer.

Essay 1
During this semester I really learned a lot about English. When I first started I was ]
nervous about taking this class just because I felt that I was so behind. The first part of the
semester I felt that I was not doing so well, my spelling was not good and the way I structured
my essays definitely needed some work. However, I knew that English would be my most
important class because all classes require written assignments. I did not do so well at first and
most of my assignments were late, I just was having so many problems on just grasping what I
needed to do and how to do it. I started getting help from an English tutor and started to learn
how to format an essay.
